Stroud Awards 2024
The best of the Stroud community were celebrated on Thursday 20th June. The awards ceremony was held at the Stonehouse Court Hotel. The Stroud news and journal community awards are held to help shine a light on our region and its many success stories.
Thirteen awards were given out to some of the most dedicated and hard working people across Stroud community.
Categories included teacher of the year, contribution to the arts and young person of the year. These awards shine a light on the region, its many success stories and all the wonderful tings that are happening across Stroud and the Five Valleys. From businesses to charities, and schools to pubs, these awards recognize those who go the extra mile to serve our communities. Many of us truly appreciate the efforts of those who work tirelessly to help or serve others and who ensure their communities thrive and remain inclusive and positive places.
The Gables was honored to sponsor Best Customer Service award. Which was awarded to Share and Repair Stonehouse. Share and Repair on Stonehouse High Street is a place where people can have their broken household items repaired by volunteers. This saves money for the households and prevents items going to landfill or incineration. Most of the volunteers are retired so the workshop is a good way to make use of their varied skills.
